The Donkeys of the Heart organization provides Equine Assisted Services with donkeys. We help children, adolescents, and adults with cognitive, mental, and behavioral challenges.
This includes the at-risk community and military populations.

Is an experiential approach using donkeys as co-facilitators. Participants actively engage in and reflect upon hands-on activities with donkeys.
EAL provides opportunities to learn a variety of life skills and to develop self-confidence and self-esteem. Social and emotional skills are developed through participation in purposeful activities.
The sessions are conducted by an ESMHL.
Promotes personal exploration and behaviors.
The sessions are conducted by a mental health professional, an ESMHL (Equine Mental Health Specialist and Learning).
Rather than providing instruction on particular donkeysmanship skills, EFP focuses on client’s needs and includes specific treatment goals facilitated by the mental health professional.
